Why You Should NOT do a Handstand on a Treadmill

NOTE: If you do not like seeing people get hurt… DON’T watch this.

Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, NC – Asheville, NC

It was absolutely beautiful. I love being in the mountains.

These guys (Livewire) are AMAZING at Handstands

I was blown away. People think I’m good because I can stay up for a few seconds… ha! This is amazing.

Their Websites:

The Ultimate Mood Uplifting Song

For my co-worker Zach and I… anytime we’re having a bad day, or just need to get the day started… this one works everytime.

P.S. – It just did for me :-)

Good Morning! I’m on a boat.

Someone Throws a Full But Open Beer Can at You, What do you Do?

I finally got to go on a picnic date with Kristen like she had been wanting to do and it abruptly ended by some punk ass kids throwing a beer can at us and ALMOST hitting her. Luckily it just got her wet, and didn’t hit one of us in the head.

We realized they were up on the top of the parking deck and … check out Kristen’s blog for the full scoop.

I live in such a logical world that I find it hard to believe that people that are as STUPID as these kids actually exist. I guess I’m living in a bubble, but seriously, who does that?

Become a Facebook Fan!

I added in the widget to allow you to become a fan of “Handstands Across America” on Facebook if you so choose!

I don’t exactly know how this will work, but I think if I do things like add a new handstand, and then create a link to it, it will show up in a Facebook feed? We’ll see.

Thanks for becoming a fan!

How to Create a Successful Web Application

You should probably read this BEFORE you start to build one. It is not the end all be all, but it gives a lot of good knowledge tidbits which should prove infinitely useful.

Read it online Getting Real by 37Signals (I have the paperback).

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk – It’s Tomorrow!

I’ve been looking forward to this since last year! I didn’t get to go because I was somewhere near Vancouver, B.C. at the time… It was right before Labor day last year, but this year it is on July 18th.

Worldwide Photowalk

I own two of his books. “The Digital Photography Book” and “The Digital Photography Book 2″ :-P .

I’m attending the walk in Greenville, SC. Maybe I’ll see you there?

Birthday Dinner at Sushi Hana

I got taken out for a delicious Sushi dinner last night at Sushi Hana. We’ve gone there twice, and it was AMAZING both times. We were soo full after what we ordered, but I asked if they did anything for birthdays… and the answer was yes. Awesome! But we were already wayy TOO full. We sucked it up and had one of the most amazing deserts ever. Check out the pictures, and check out Sushi Hana.

Fun Facts about July 15th

  1. First off… It’s my BIRTHDAY today!
  2. Today is ALSO the birthday of…

Please Don’t Rain Today!

July 15th is also Saint Swithun’s day. The legend goes… that if it rains on this day, it will rain for 40 days and 40 nights. So, please… no rain dances today!

    • “St Swithun’s day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain
St Swithun’s day if thou be fair
For forty days ’twill rain na mair”

Update: 8:50am

I have also been informed that some movie comes out today. Two years ago, my birthday party ended up being a bunch of people lying on a beach reading his new book that just came out. What does Mr. Potter have against me!?!?!

Moment of Zen

Hopefully these views will help you connect with your hippie zen-like karma filled side. I took them both in the last week in a half.

Birthday with the Family

Hanging out before the party

My cousin, aunt and uncle came over to celebrate. My cousin LOVES stacking up blocks and then knocking them over. While growing up, he has smartened up and made other people stack up the blocks so he can knock them down.

Making my uncle stack up the blocks…

“Now I get to throw the ball!”

“Again!”

TOTAL Destruction :-)

Birthday Party

My family birthday party was quite awesome! It was great to see everyone, and my gifts were especially funny. In this picture I am showing off my new AS SEEN ON TV “Snuggie” and “Dryer Balls”. Not to mention M&M’s and a Crock Pot. My family rocks!
