2007-08-12 - Surfside Beach, SC
This was a great beach just south of Myrtle Beach. I had never been to Myrtle, but after driving through, I could see all the commercialism, and was not very impressed. Luckily, we had a great deal from TravelZoo, and came down the coast a few miles to find a much more residential beach. The Holiday Inn at Surfside beach was great, and it was also great to not be sleeping outside on a HOT August night :-p.
